New Ink Paintings by Julie Jarvis
Saturdays & Sundays, September 5–27, 2026, 10 AM – 5 PM
Sunday Morning Meditations: 9 AM
Julie Jarvis presents new ink paintings inspired by daily walks in forests and ravines. Created with black sumi ink and natural inks made from gathered plants, the works emerge from a contemplative practice rooted in stillness, presence, and connection to the natural world.
Presented at the Barlow Room Gallery in the Royal Hotel, Picton, the exhibition offers a quiet space to encounter expressive brushwork, spacious compositions, and the living energy of ink.
Throughout the exhibition, Julie will offer Sunday morning meditations in the gallery, creating an opportunity to pause, settle, and experience the work in a quiet and contemplative setting. She will also co-facilitate Return to Source: Living Creatively with local author Sarah Selecky, presented by County Arts on Friday, September 18 at the Picton Armoury, Main Level, Room 2E.
