There are so many ways to contribute to this world in a positive way that promotes tolerance and open-mindedness.

Maison Depoivre‘s group show, Positive Masculinity, invites artists to express their ideas and emotions on what it means to be a man, gay, bi or straight, of any background; the male feminist and the male who can also question his gender without feeling threatened.

This show also encourages conversations (sometimes through provocation) about LGBTQ2S+ issues and struggles, body positivity, as well as gender identification and its meaning. With more than 30 artists participating in this year’s show, Positive Masculinity is celebrating and presenting local, national and international talents, including:

Andrew Binks, Andy Fabo, Brad McDermott, Cabinboyknits, Caylen Monroe, Conrad Smith, Davide Di Taranto, David Edwards, Deborah Samuel, Elizabeth Cope, Ethan Platt, Eva Mueller, Frances Key, Francisco De La Barra, Frantz Brent-Harris, Gilles Miramontes, Gina D’Aloisio, Hew Elcock, La Linea El Cuerpo, Miles Ingrassia, Mike Rachlis, Orpheus Men, Pam Patterson, Pansy Ass, Rob McAlpine, SaraLou Miller, Saul Lyons, Scott Turner, Seth Ruggles Hiler, Stev’nn Hall, and Terran McNeely.

Positive Masculinity is currently showing until December 22nd. Maison Depoivre is located at Base31, 343 County Road 22, Picton. Open Friday-Sunday, 11 AM-5 PM.
