The Prince Edward County Jazz Festival is celebrating its 25th season this year with a fabulous lineup!

Each year, PEC Jazz Festival brings top jazz talent to Prince Edward County, from local acts to international stars. Thanks to the generous support of local sponsors and volunteers, the PEC Jazz Festival has earned a reputation as the true jazz-lover’s festival, offering classical jazz, to cutting edge modern, and everything in between!

The 2025 Prince Edward County Jazz Festival runs from Tuesday August 12th to Sunday August 17th. With some performances having already sold out, you won’t want to wait to get your tickets!

This year, Festival organizers are excited to partner with The Regent Theatre to present The Music of Quincy Jones, featuring the vocals of Alana Bridgewater and Christopher Plock, and accompanied by an amazing all-star band led by Eric St-Laurent. Taking place on Saturday, August 16th at 7:30, this special evening will explore the legendary songbook of Quincy Jones, paying homage to the man behind some of the most iconic sounds in music history. Tickets for this performance are available through The Regent Theatre’s box office.

Tickets are now only $25.57 including tax and fees for general admission for students. What’s the catch? Just bring your Student ID – that’s it! Regular price tickets are $61.88 (incl. taxes and fees) – so this is better than a 50% discount!

Friday, August 15th – Ahmed Moneka & Friends

Ahmed Moneka is a multidisciplinary artist, specializing in acting for theatre and film, as well as Afro-Middle Eastern music. He is a citizen of both Canada and Iraq, while currently based in Toronto. Ahmed’s upbringing in Baghdad, Iraq, introduced him to a rich intellectual culture in theatre, film, and television. In Basrah, he immersed himself in a musical environment that celebrated and preserved Afro-Iraqi Sufi traditions. As an artist, he aims to promote acceptance and foster a sense of global community by bridging cultures and dispelling misconceptions about Arab communities.

Sunday, August 17th – ​​Dánae Olano

Dánae Olano was born and raised in the musical melting pot of Havana, Cuba. Her professional career began to blossom while studying in university. There, she made incursions into theatre music, being part of recognized companies like El Ingenio and Teatro de la Luna. Currently, Dánae is best known in North America as a founding member of the all-female band Jane Bunnett and Maqueque, which has earned both a Juno and Grammy nomination.
