The annual Prince Edward County Chamber Music Festival begins on Friday September 13th, 2024, with six concerts happening until September 22nd at Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, 335 Main Street, Picton. The festival features the finest of Canada’s musicians offering performances that explore the depth and magnitude of the western chamber music repertoire.
Its 21st season opens with Bach’s Goldberg Variations, which were brought into the spotlight by Canadian pianist Glenn Gould. The arrangement for string trio featured in this concert is by Russian/American violinist Dmitry Sitkovetsky. The festival also features two nights dedicated to Franz Schubert, the master of chamber music.
