The Parrott Gallery presents “Pareidolia: Pattern and Perception” by local artist Carl Wiens, showcasing a selection of his paintings that highlight his fascination with natural patterns.
Being outside and surrounded by nature is a source of energy and inspiration for Carl. “Pareidolia” is a term that describes the tendency to see meaningful patterns in random visuals – discovering images, objects, and shapes where there seemingly aren’t any. Viewers can expect thought-provoking and visually captivating paintings, rich with the scientific precision that defines Wiens’ illustrative style, in this exhibition running from March 1st to April 2nd in Gallery 2.
