CALL | ALCHEMY ARTIST RESIDENCY | PEC 2026 WAUPOOS ISLAND | JUNE 10 DEADLINE, New! Funding available for PEC based artists.

ALCHEMY ARTIST RESIDENCY, founded in 2015, is an artist-led residency dedicated to site-inspired artmaking and community engagement.

Alchemy brings together artists and makers to connect, collaborate, and reflect in two distinctive Canadian settings: Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts on the Toronto Islands and rural Prince Edward County, Ontario. At Alchemy, artists deepen their
practices, exchange ideas, and engage with the people, communities, and landscapes that host us.

Alchemy PEC 2026 Waupoos Island is an artist-led residency grounded in extended studio time, private reflection, shared meals, and collective living. Taking place August 7-14, 2026, on Waupoos Island off the western coast of Prince Edward County, visiting artists will live, work, and collaborate in a setting where cooking, eating, conversation, and studio practice shape daily life. Alchemy welcomes artists who value working within a temporary community and are curious about process and materiality in both artistic and culinary practices.

Cost: $1,250 CAD plus applicable taxes. The fee includes accommodations, studio space, thematic programming, guest artist talks, a hefty portion of our shared supper dinner costs, and scheduled transportation between Waupoos Island and the mainland.
