The Parrott Gallery has a lot going on to kick off the new year, including exhibitions, receptions, an artist talk and more!

First, an exhibition featuring work by Belleville’s K8N Collective, PostMinimalism, opens on January 13th with an Opening Reception from 2:30-4 PM. The show features mixed media paintings and sculpture by Artists Steve Armstrong, Elizabeth Fearon and Rupen.

Also opening on January 13th is a retrospective exhibition of acrylic and collage/mixed media paintings by Marie Timbers – Leave Me Alone, I’m Painting. There will be a free Opening Reception on Saturday, January 20th from 2:30-4 PM.

All are welcome to enjoy these free opening receptions with light refreshments, and the shows will be on display in Galleries 1, 2 and 3 until February 14th.

An exhibition of photography by Craig Robinson, I Left My Heart in New Brunswick, continues until January 25th in the Corridor Gallery. Craig gave an Artist Talk as part of the Gallery’s Armchair Traveller series in December, and he will be offering a repeat travelogue presentation through ZOOM on Thursday, January 25th at 6 PM. The Gallery is also currently accepting submissions by Quinte and PEC-based artists for their upcoming juried show, reCONNECTing, juried by Bethany Garner and Alice Melo. The deadline to enter is January 31st. Artwork in all mediums and unique interpretations of the theme are encouraged. Each artist may submit a maximum of two pieces. Works must be original and must not have been previously exhibited in the Quinte area. The cost to enter is $20 (non-refundable).
