To celebrate Pride month, the Quinte Arts Council posted a call for artist submissions in May for their annual Everyone Under the Rainbow art show. Pride month is a time when LGBTQ2S+ communities around the world celebrate the freedom to be known, heard, understood and respected. The theme of Pride 2023 is “The Next Generation, Our Future.”
Artists were invited to share any kind of art which reflects, respects, features and speaks to the LGBTQ2S+ community, with the intent to foster new connections with artists in the LGBTQ2S+ community in Quinte to provide a place for them to showcase and celebrate their art – because everyone deserves a place under the rainbow!
The show is open June 8th-30th at the Quinte Arts Council, located at 36 Bridge Street East, Belleville.
