Bridging Communities is an ambitious project to cover Belleville’s downtown Upper Front Street Bridge in crochet, led by artist Emebet Belete. Come see the progress of the work in an exhibition at the County Arts Lab, Unit 2E, 206 Main Street, Picton.
Since the project started, participants have crocheted enough squares to cover the pillars of the bridge, with more happening every week. Thanks to grants from the City of Belleville, all yarn has been provided free to participants.
All are invited to the opening reception on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 from 2-4 PM.
The exhibition runs from September 16th to 25th, 2025 daily from 10 AM-4 PM.
