There’s a hum beneath the surface, like the earth holding its breath. Because The Sky invites the viewer to share a moment of stillness, listening with the lens, with work by artist Howard Goldberg, taking place at the County Arts Lab, Unit 2E, 206 Main Street (Picton Armoury), Picton.
Howard graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film production at Concordia University. He’s edited and directed over 30 documentary feature films, receiving numerous Gemini’s and Canadian Screen Awards. His documentary BEING DOROTHY, was nominated Best Feature Documentary by the International Documentary Association.
Howard’s current photographic work is a celebration of light, the sky, the land and the lens. “I travel with my camera seeking to come closer to the minimalist beauty inherent in vast landscapes. When we walk, we see, and when we see we breathe in our surroundings and clear our minds. For me this is thrilling — it allows growth to occur.”
Opening Reception: Sunday August 24th, 2025 from 2-5 PM
Open Hours: August 20th to September 1st 2025 from 11 AM – 5 PM, open until 9 PM on Fridays
