2019 edition of Art in the County, also held in Unit 2E of the Picton Armoury Building.

The 31st edition of Art in the County is fast approaching! If you are an artist interested in entering this year’s juried exhibition and sale, the deadline to submit registration form, image(s) and payment is Friday, June 7th at noon.

This year’s show is taking place June 21st – July 7th, 2024 at the County Arts Lab, Unit 2E of the Picton Armoury Building (Main Street level).  Over 100 works of art created by Prince Edward County artists working in a wide range of media, including watercolour, acrylic, oil and encaustic paintings, sculpture, fibre, wood, photography, ceramics, glass and more, will be on display. The show will be simultaneously presented online at artinthecounty.com.

Jurors are solely responsible for the show’s content, as well as selecting one Jurors’ Choice Award ($750) and three Honourable Mention Awards ($100 each). This year’s jurors are Aylan Couchie, Interdisciplinary Artist, Curator and Writer (Nipissing First Nation), Claire Kyle, Art Rentals & Sales – Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto), and Darren Rigo, Photographer (Toronto).

The Community Arts Builder Award (as nominated by residents), Carson Arthur, Maison Depoivre, and Akasha Art Projects awards will all return along with the biggest prize of the night – the Oeno Gallery Award of Excellence at $1000! Click here to learn more about the awards.

Visit artinthecounty.com to learn more about eligibility requirements and conditions, including tips on how to photograph artwork. Artists who have entered the show will be required to drop-off artwork at the County Arts Lab on Saturday, June 15th.

NEW THIS YEAR!

We are partnering with Muskoka Arts & Crafts to organize the first-ever community art exhibition swap between Prince Edward County and Muskoka! Artists can choose to have their artwork exhibited in Bracebridge from September 7th – 22nd, 2024. Muskoka artwork will be on display at the County Arts Lab August 9th – 25th, 2024. Some conditions apply.
