About Alex Currie: Alex is an East Coast 2012 transplant to PEC and has recently decided to fully embrace the multi-hyphenates of a lifelong creative. During a period of ups and downs, Alex noticed the one thing that tied his whole life together and made sense was the need to be generating “something” to express this creativity. During his 20’s on the east coast he founded a music collective that saw him centered around the production, recording, promotion and packaging of the artists involved. Being a group of people with less than zero funding meant that the do-it-yourself attitude & aesthetic wasn’t a choice but a necessity in moving forward. Alex has kept this ethos with him in everything he has taken a part of since. For the last decade and change Alex had transferred these skills to the food and beverage world, including the co-founding of two food and beverage based businesses, the co-founding of a successful festival that ran for many years, and package, identity and digital design for others. After reconnecting with collage as a coping mechanism for anxiety and depression, Alex has been exploring a push into the realm of fine art.
