Through her oil paintings local artist Celia Sage aspires to draw attention to the beauty and mystery of daily life and surroundings. She believes that the weight of a shadow, the tilt of a gesture, the depth of a hue can suggest to the viewer a world of meaning. A native of Idaho, Celia studied Fine Arts at Boise State University before moving to Picton, ON in 1981 where she lives with her husband Peter.
New work by Celia will be on display from June 23 to July 15 at Mad Dog Gallery, 525 County Road 11, Picton. Opening celebrations of An Answer to Place and Light will take place on June 24 from 7-9PM and on June 24 from 2-4PM.
