All Things Unconditional

Artscene August 2022 Edition

All Things Unconditional
Amsterdam, The Netherlands by Fariba Kalantari, ink on paper

The Parrott Gallery presents two exciting exhibitions, on now until August 20

All Things Unconditional is a mixed media exhibition by Toronto artist Fariba Kalantari, consisting of 2D and 3D artwork from her ongoing travel journal collection. This is Fariba’s first time exhibiting in Belleville. A self-educated artist, she works primarily with ink and acrylic and has exhibited in several solo and group shows.

Rising From the Ashes is a retrospective exhibition showcasing over 50 years of work by Graham Metson. Born and educated in London, England, he was active in the London art scene in the 1950s and 60s. He eventually moved to the United States, then to Canada to continue his career as an artist and Art Educator. Before moving to Prince Edward County he taught at the Nova Scotia College of Art and at Concordia University. His artwork can be found in many public and private collections internationally, as well as locally at Oeno Gallery and Hatch Gallery. Tragically, his home burned to the ground last winter, but he has risen from the ashes yet again!

Parrott Gallery, Belleville Public Library, 254 Pinnacle Street.
