About Face is a free, fun and interactive six-week workshop series created exclusively for Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans and their family members aged 16 and over, featuring guest artists in Prince Edward County.
Get a taste of what’s to come at the two free Series Launch Events in September, featuring our much-loved local musician Andy Forgie on September 9th from 1:30-3:30 PM at the Base31 Lecture Hall and on September 24th from 6-9:30 PM with Canadian comedy legends Colin Mochrie and Debra McGrath at the Sergeants Mess Hall.
The Series Launch Events will be followed by a 6-week Workshop Series, Sundays in October and November, hosted by notable guest artists who will lead workshops in comedy, improv, storytelling, music and more. This series is an opportunity for participants to explore their own creativity and artistic abilities in a new and engaging way, with therapeutic support for reflection and conversation about the work.
The program’s mission is to foster holistic well-being within the military community by providing a space for exploration and creativity. The True Patriot Love Foundation’s support has made it possible to offer this program free of charge.
No previous arts experience is needed. Visit countystage.ca/about-face to learn more and register. Please email questions to karen@strongertogethercounselling.ca.
